LG G Pad X8.3 Tablet Review-Unlike a smartphone, without Wi-Fi, most tablets can not access the internet. LG G Pad X8.3 is one exception, featuring 4G LTE connections through Verizon Wireless. Although it looks like an average tablet from the outside, which makes it unique is the LG Pad packs a 8.3-inch full USB port, an IR blaster, and stylus. If you do not see the tablet geared towards productivity, like Microsoft Surface Pro 3 or Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, it is rare to find a model that offers one of these features. LG G Pad X8.3 lacking in cutting-edge design and interesting features, it makes up for with an extra thumb, IR blaster turns the tablet into a remote control, a USB port allows you to connect a flash drive full of your favorite content (rather than on the internal storage or microSD card) and stylus to make notes quickly and easily navigate the tablet.

4G LTE mobile capability is a nice addition, not only because you can Netflix anywhere you get a cell signal, but also because you can take the tablet for only $ 129 with a 2 year contract with Verizon. If you cancel, you will be charged a maximum of $ 350, the cost is reduced to $ 10 each month you have a tablet. When compared to other tablets in its price range, the LG G Pad X8.3 tablet offer specification and better performance. Design

Standard design LG G Pad X8.3 is not breaking the mold in any way. This is reminiscent of the simple LG G Pad, but with sharp angles and flat edges. The tablet has an aluminum panel with a metal layer that is framed by a border of black plastic which has a suede-esque feel soft. Aluminum panels give the design a little personality, but functionally has a pleasant feel of the tablet which adds a level of comfort. The included stylus is tucked into the hole located at the bottom left corner of the LG G Pad X8.3 tablet. If you can not see for it, you might miss it. Stylus itself is traditionally thin, super light, and about 5 inches long. The top edge houses the IR blaster, full USB port, a microphone pinhole and headphone jack. In the corner on the right edge you'll find the power button and volume rocker, the microSD card slot on the left edge and bottom edge is home to a micro-USB port and a stylus. 

Features

G Pad X8.3 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with minor tweaks to the UI. For basic multi-tasking, you can take advantage of the dual function of the window. Not all applications are compatible, but available is like YouTube, Chrome, and Verizon messaging application, allowing You to stream video on youtube sideline when responding to e-mail or send text messages while browsing the Web. Because the Verizon tablet, comes pre-loaded with software Verizon particular, including my Verizon Mobile, VZ Navigator, Cloud, Mobile Hotspot, and the message + applications. My Verizon Mobile app lets you keep an eye on your account, including use of data and billing, and VZ Navigator is a GPS navigator Bing-powered with a choice of voice-guided directions that provide real time traffic information. Although the application comes loaded, using VZ Navigator you have to pay $ 0.99 per day or $ 4.99 per month to use the feature. Clouds and Mobile Hotspot application is rather self-explanatory, Cloud allows Verizon customers in remote can store photos, music, videos, and other documents and access them from other devices and Mobile Hotspot turns the tablet into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Messages + app allows you to send and reply to text messages from tablet to connect to the phone number of your smartphone.

G Pad X8.3 tabet also comes pre-loaded with LG QPair application, which can pair any phone to tablet and allow you to respond to the same calls and text messaging screen. Although a full USB port does not sound like a cool feature, but it's very useful. If you save a document, video, or music on a flash drive, you can easily pop into the tablet and access all the files. Without it, like most tablets, you have to connect the tablet to a computer to transfer files, or load them onto a microSD card. You can also charge the device using a USB port, or connect a mouse or keyboard for additional functionality. Hardware feature is the stylus. It provides a PDA, such as a function that is useful for work or play. This helps navigation tablet or by typing, because the keyboard on the screen of 8.3 inches may be small for those with larger hands. LG preloads tablet with QuickMemo + application and it is easily accessible from the main homepage by simply swiping from left to right. This application offers a lot of color, thickness, and opacity options, making it possible to write notes or draw doodle. If your record is more complex than what faux piece of paper can handle, you can easily write whatever is on the screen itself by simply selecting the option QuickMemo + from the notification pull-down menu. Stylus works with notes or draw other applications, but QuickMemo + gave me all the basic features I need.

Hardware

LG G Pad X8.3 has a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, and microSD card slot for expandable up to 128GB. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.1, and LTE band 25, 26 and 41 frequencies. 

Achievement

LG G Pad X8.3 not a monster performance, but it works smoothly and steadily for most casual tasks. I have no problems browsing the Web, checking e-mail and streaming video, even with many apps open in the background. If you're into gaming, G Pad X 8.3 works well for playing Angry Birds, but something more intense need of patience. Big game take some time to load, as well as their level, though once loaded, tend to smooth gameplay. I saw some occasional lag while playing NOVA 3, resulting in stuttering graphics, but it was only for about half a second and it does not interfere with gameplay. As seen in 3DMark benchmark test. 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution screen is sharp and colors wide enough for HD video to see life, but not saturated. 8.3-inch screen features a wide viewing angle and setting maximum luminosity is bright enough to see the screen in bright settings. 

LG G Pad x 8.3 have the traditional pair of cameras. Function 2-megapixel front-facing camera is good for video conferencing, but low quality makes selfies unattractive often overexposed and broke bright spots. Rear 8 megapixel camera is one of the better ones found on tablets. Has a sharp focus, although things blur in low light situations, and the colors on the boring side. LG G Pad X8.3 also has a 4,800mAh battery. Local 720p movie mode Looping plane, tablet scored 7.5 hours in a test.
