MSI AG270 Gaming All-In-One PC-Of all the gaming laptop, not a lot of all-in-one desktop (computers with built-in large-screen displays, like the Apple iMac) directed to the PC game playing. In short, a game all-in-one has the potential to combine the best qualities of a gaming laptop and desktop gaming.
But, on closer inspection, you are basically buying a gaming desktop that you can never upgrade. And, although the giant footsteps of a default desktop to the mobile part of their processors, graphics cards, and storage. It was very important for gaming, because there is a world of difference between the version of the laptop, said an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M, and the desktop version, GTX 980 (without the 'M') in the process of performance.
MSI AG270 Gaming All-In-One |
MSI AG270 is a mix between a desktop and a laptop-based game. With a 27-inch monitor, the laptop level Nvidia 980M graphics card, at a premium price. AG270 come off very well, acting as a sort of a large screen with a more personal gaming station a little more portability than dragging desktop and monitor.
27-inch display here has a matte layer as opposed to the overly glossy screen on most all-in-one, as well as a touch screen, which is rare in any gaming system, and something we have not seen on any laptop with a GeForce 980M graphics card.
MSI AG270 2QE-037US, sell for $ 2,699. This is the US version, converted to the UK for £ 1,849, and in Australia AUS $ 3399. Including a 2TB hard drive, 256 GB SSD, 16 GB of RAM, and a Blu ray burner, all of can raise the price. You can also find cheaper configuration around $ 2,000.
Design and Features
All-in-one PC aims to become thin and high-design as possible, put a display of paper-thin on thin flexible sleeve, hiding the actual PC components in the base or behind the elegant curve.
MSI AG270 in unapologetically bold and large, rectangular body supporting a large and powerful with a clear plastic kickstand. The entire bottom edge of the system lies on the table, so that the adjustment of the angle just see you to lean slightly backward or forward on a stiff hinge kickstand. This system can also be wall mounted, thanks to the VESA standard screw mount on the back.
Body mostly black framed red dann in front, plus MSI logo sits in the middle and a great set of speakers that are built into the base, pointed directly at the user.
This is not slim like the iMac, but on the other hand, some of the all-in-one PCs we've seen with special graphics cards, including Dell and Lenovo models, have also been on the large side, and none of their other models sell itself primarily as gaming systems.
On the edge you will find the input and menu controls for the screen, plus a couple of USB ports and connectors for external power brick large; on the right edge, next to the tray loading optical drive. The rest of the ports and connections on the rear panel.
You will need a couple of USB ports for the keyboard and mouse cable included. Wireless model would have been nice, especially for the more than $ 2,000, but some gamers prefer a wired version for eliminating possible input lag. Keyboard, the same black and red, visible part of the keyboard players, and deserves to play the game, but it makes me mad when typing.
Screen, is an important part of a desktop all-in-one. 1,920x1,080 native resolution, which is fine for most purposes, but a lot of small game (and non-gaming) laptop, all the way to 4K, and with much less powerful hardware. Anti-glare coating that is accepted, it mutes the colors pop and contrast a little bit but I think the trade off worth it to eliminate screen glare.
MSI says these screens also reduce the amount of blue light emitted. That's not to say the picture less blue in it, but the various wavelengths of light sometimes called 'blue light' has been reduced.
Audio from a pair of 5W speakers paired with reinforcement along the front edge of the bottom. Good headphones or external speakers and a dedicated subwoofer, which is obviously still an option that is the most profound.
Connection, Performance and Battery
This system includes a set worthy of ports and connections, including HDMI, so you can use the screen with a cable box, game console or other device. Many USB ports are included, but only a standard 1/8 inch jack audio out, not out-optic or multi-speaker some gaming systems.
This configuration includes an Intel Core i7-4870HQ, part of the fourth generation Intel Core i-series CPUs, which are slowly being replaced by fifth-gen new parts, but not in high performance systems.
It also packs in 16 GB of RAM, 2 TB 7200 rpm hard drive space, and a pair of 128 GB SSD drives on a RAID array.
All adds up to excellent performance matched with any gaming laptop, desktop and even much higher. It falls a little behind in multi-tasking our benchmark, compared to laptops with the same components from Asus, Origin PC and others, but not to a serious level. Single test app let MSI stand out a little more.
In the game, MSI graphics card has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M. That part is very impressive for a laptop GPU, although in the form of desk-bound, you might expect more bells and whistles. However, at 1,920x1,080 resolution and high detail settings, MSI AG270 Gaming All-In-One PC running at 45 frames per second, within a few frames of the Asus G751 and Origin EON17-S.
