Philips Fidelio NC1 Headphone Review

Philips Fidelio NC1 Headphone Review-Philips has made some very solid headphones, the latest is Fidelio NC1, sold at a cost of $ 300, converted to UK £ 250 and AU $ 350. Active noise canceling (NC), you will recall, require headphones against external ambient noise, the hum of a jet engine when you're flying with sound waves reversed, thus canceling unwanted environmental noise so you get more of what you want to hear, such as the music you listen to. Bose QuietComfort 3 stopped her on-ear headphones NC, put the marketing muscle behind the QuietComfort 25, an over-ear headphone that features noisecanceling arguably the best on the market.

Philips Fidelio NC1 Review

Philips Fidelio NC1 Headphones

For on-ear headphones, it was very comfortable and seemed to be good, with a few metal parts and earcups are equipped with foam and cushions outside which is a combination of cloth and leather soft protein. This is a very handsome headphones. With a weight of 6.7 ounces (190 grams) and fold the headphones also fold flat and fit in a crescent-shaped bag that is well designed and has a small pocket for a removable 47-inch (1.2 m) cable and USB charging cable. Headphone cable is covered with a cloth (think shoelaces) to help reduce microphonics and has integrated one button remote and microphone for making phone calls (good call quality).

The fit of the headphones do not press too tight head and ears, but the only downside is that if you move your head vigorously, it has a tendency to slip out of your ears a bit, this might not be the case for people with bigger heads. This is only a factor when you're on the go. Another thing to note is that these headphones have been giving a built-in rechargeable battery up to 30 hours of playback, which is impressive. Instead, Bose QC25 using a single AAA battery that gives a battery life of the same. Both Philips and Bose can play music even after the battery is dead, which is not always the case for noise-canceling headphones (previous model of the Bose QC only works when powered).

Achievement

Philips Fidelio NC1 headphones is high-definition, which tends to mean headphones provide much clarity. While the sound is dynamic, it lacks some features warmth and not very deep bass. It had a little kick low-end, but the treble and upper midrange that jumps out at you here. And that can cause some listening fatigue.

For comparison, the Bose QC 25 seamless voice and also a little more open. The problem with the model on-ear tend to sound more closed than the over-ear headphones, and while the sound Fidelio NC1 is not too stuck in your head, you just do not get the stage width a good pair of headphones over-ear like Philips itself Fidelio L2. That said, NC1 headphones are relatively compact, so that's where the tradeoff is. Interestingly, when you turn off the noise-canceling, some of which end to lost and headphone treble seems a bit more balanced and offer a little more warmth.

Sometimes, when you activate the noise canceling Philips Fidelio NC1 Headphone, it will sound a little boring. In this case, however, turn off the touch dulling the sound. Noise canceling Philips is not strong on this, so do not do a good job as a Bose ambient noise reduction. But on the other hand, put a little pressure on your ear drums than the Bose, which is a good thing for people who are more sensitive to noise canceling.
