Netgear Powerline said that the 1200 kit can provide connection speeds of up to 1,000Mbps. However, overadvertising common connection speeds in network devices and Powerline 1200 kit was the fastest I've experienced in the electric network. In testing, two adapters delivered sustained speed of 386Mbps, which is nearly 60Mbps faster than the runner-up, G.hn. PG-9172 COMTREND Obviously this is getting very close to the speed of Gigabit Ethernet, and much faster than traditional Ethernet 10/100 connection.
